1. Overview
We want you to be satisfied with Anglerly. If something is not working as expected, please contact our support team first at support@anglerly.app - many issues can be resolved quickly without needing a refund.
This Policy explains:
- When refunds are available
- How to request a refund
- How long refunds take to process
- Statutory rights that apply regardless of this Policy
2. EU and UK Statutory Cooling-Off Period
If you are a consumer based in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of the initial purchase without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
To exercise this right:
- Email support@anglerly.app within 14 days of your initial purchase with the subject line
Cooling-off period refund requestand include your account email and order reference. - We will confirm receipt within 2 business days.
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your request.
Important note on digital content: if you have actively used the Service during the cooling-off period (for example, generated forecasts or saved catches), you may have waived your right to withdraw under applicable consumer law. We may, at our discretion, still offer a partial or full refund.
3. General Refund Policy (Beyond Statutory Rights)
(a) Try It Out plan ($4.99 for the first 7 days)
- Refundable within 14 days of the original purchase, subject to Section 4 below
- If you do not cancel before the 7-day introductory period ends, your plan automatically converts to a monthly subscription at $28.80/month. The introductory $4.99 charge is generally non-refundable after the introductory period unless required by law.
(b) Weekly plan ($8.99 per week)
- The initial purchase is refundable within 14 days, subject to Section 4
- Subsequent renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If you wish to stop future charges, cancel before the next renewal.
(c) Monthly plan ($19.99 per month)
- The initial purchase is refundable within 14 days, subject to Section 4
- Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. Pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a renewed month are not provided.
(d) Yearly plan ($49.99 per year)
- The initial purchase is refundable within 14 days, subject to Section 4
- Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. After the 14-day window from the renewal date, no refunds are provided for the remainder of the yearly term, but you retain access until the term ends.
4. When We Cannot Issue a Refund
Refunds may be declined in the following circumstances:
- The request is made more than 14 days after the original purchase or renewal, except where required by applicable law
- Significant use of the Service during the period being claimed (this is assessed on a case-by-case basis)
- Violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
- Suspected fraud, abuse, or chargeback abuse
- Refund has already been issued for the same billing cycle
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@anglerly.app with the following information:
- Subject line:
Refund request - Account email address
- Order or transaction reference (from your confirmation email)
- Plan you subscribed to (Try It Out, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly)
- Date of purchase or renewal
- Brief reason for the request (optional but helpful)
We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 business days and resolve them within 7 business days.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at purchase. We cannot issue refunds to a different card, account, or payment method.
- Once approved, refunds typically appear in your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Currency conversion fees applied by your bank are not refundable by us.
- Applicable taxes that were collected at the time of purchase are refunded together with the principal amount where legally required.
7. Subscription Cancellation vs. Refund
Canceling your subscription and requesting a refund are two separate actions:
- Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
- A refund returns money already paid, subject to this Policy.
If you only want to stop future charges without a refund, you can cancel from your account dashboard at any time without contacting us.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@anglerly.app before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Filing a chargeback for a legitimate charge without first attempting to resolve the issue may result in account suspension and a permanent ban from the Service. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks with supporting evidence including account activity logs and our Terms.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will not apply retroactively to purchases already made.
